Beachwear SS22

The Spring Summer 2022 Beachwear Collection reminiscent of a journey that begins in Italy, the cradle of sartorial craftsmanship and fine workmanship, and ends in the Middle East where garments like kaftans, tunics and shirts have always been symbols of elegance. Hence, the silhouette features geometric garments with masculine proportions and worn over enveloping tops, bikinis, shorts, long soft skirts, and sinuous swimming suits made in macramé, denim or in dainetto, a suede-like fabric. The whiteness and lightness of linen gauze is enhanced by soft, generous volumes as well as gathered fabrics and ruffles.

  • This Beachwear collection includes ivory white, sand, and black accentuated by vibrant shades like pink, turquoise, denim blue and red, while coffee brown alternates with white in a large zebra print. Accessories are made of natural leather or raffia and embellished with turquoise stones and aged silver bijoux. The embroideries are precious, light, made with silk yarn or using the bobbin lace technique, a very old method rooted in Italian craftsmanship and now interpreted in a modern key thanks to the geometric and graphic patterns. The layers of lace and macramé, the carvings on the dainetto suede-like fabric, the antique linen decorations on striped men's cottons, the hemstitch trimmings on shirts and shorts, the elaborate grey melange floral pattern on pink linen, the geometric broderie anglaise inserts and folk-style embroidery continue the Maison's tradition of transforming fabrics into three-dimensional materials, moved by an alternation of full and empty spaces. These elaborate processes also enrich the swimwear models that become precious little items. The Spring Summer 2022 Beachwear collection is one "to touch", where the variety of surfaces reminds of certain Mediterranean villages with their white or brightly coloured, rough, and hard or smooth and shiny walls.
